They bring fire and pestilence upon scumbags

Posted by MK on January 25, 2012

FOX News – U.S. military forces sent helicopters into Somalia in a nighttime raid Tuesday and freed two hostages, an American and a Dane, while killing nine kidnappers, U.S. officials confirm. American Jessica Buchanan, 32, and Dane Poul Hagan Thisted, 60, had been working with a de-mining unit of the Danish Refugee Council when they were kidnapped in October.

The raid was conducted by a joint team overseen by Africa Command involving Special Operations forces, including Navy SEAL Team Six, the same unit — though not the exact same individuals — that killed Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden in May, a senior U.S. military source told Fox News.

….A U.S. official told Fox News that the rescue team dropped into the area from parachutes off fixed-wing aircraft and from their drop point ran to the encampment. The official said the captors were killed and the hostages secured everyone and left via helicopter. The captors were heavily armed and had explosives on them, Little said. There were no known survivors among the kidnappers. No Americans were injured during the raid, he said.

Great news ey. Glad to hear they killed all the scumbags and got back safely with the hostages. When will hollywood get round to making a movie on SEAL Team Six. After Black Hawk Down, the world needs to see westerners kicking savages ass on their home soil. Which is what happens almost all the time anyway.

On a different note, it’s Australia day down here. Here is some more information on the significance of it.

Australia Day History – January 26 has traditionally marked the landing of Captain Arthur Phillip at Port Jackson in present-day Sydney, thereby claiming Australia for the British Empire. Early settlers, perhaps naturally, marked the anniversary. Australia Day has evolved from a small commemorative New South Wales holiday into a major national celebration. Though it has often been criticised, it remains the most inclusive celebration of a national day in Australia, expressing the national diversity which has become such an important part of the Australian national character.

There is a fair amount of politically correct BS about diversity and yak-yak, but for most of us it’s a day to celebrate what’s great about our country, our people, our land and how blessed we are to live here. Oh and we’re supposed to eat a lot of lamb, in some circles I believe it’s even mandatory to have lamb for all 3 meals of the day.

I won’t be indulging quite that much, but let me end by saying, it’s not a good day to be a lamb around here. :)

  1. Another great day for Navy SEALs! Just hate to see Obama take so much credit! But then they may have gotten some of his distant cousins—one can toss a rock from Somolia to Kenya–just saying!!!!

      LOL Good point Ron.

It does surprise me that the media and the obama camp aren’t claiming he himself led the SEAL charge on osama, i mean what’s a blatant lie when so many have been peddled so far.

  4. Happy Australia day! Enjoy yourself. And if I get any emails from lambs on the run I’ll know why.

    Congratulations.

Great story about Australia. We should be teaching our kids historical things about our friends around the world. I think we should name January English Month in recognition of the great nations spawned by the British Empire, and the unparalleled accomplishments by English speaking people everywhere.

Here in the US we have always looked upon Australia as not only our friend, but as family.

By the way, what are you guys trying to do to you Prime Minister? It seems the little lady was accosted by some protesters down under.

      Thanks Bob.

Actually it was a race riot started by her own team to try and screw over the opposition leader, thankfully it back-fired on them pretty badly.

Funny thing as well is that the rioting buffoons who took the bait and got violent were squawking about getting independence from Australia earleier. Yet they were so willing and ready to jump when their puppet masters told them to.

  6. Enjoy you celebration, and don’t hold your breath on Hollyweird making a movie glorifying our military. Ain’t gonna happen…

Happy Australia Day, MK! And I agree it is time that we see a great, action-packed movie of the SEALs kicking some serious tail!

  8. Happy Australia Day! Go Navy Seals!!! They kicked butt and crushed the enemy.

This is great news, our military does great things. I don’t know if Obama had to give the OK on this operation or not, but if he did good for him. We have other hostages he needs to be worried about, like our one and only POW held by the Taliban, the same Taliban that he is negotiating with right now.

We actually KILLED pirates?…in exchange for AMERICANS? WOW, what an improvement! I thought that, lately, we were in the business of rescuing them and their boats? Well, will wonders never cease? :-)

Congratulations, Australia…your line about it not being a good day for lambs is so funny! I LOVE lamb; I should have planned my Aussie trip a little better those few years ago! You are blessed to live in a fantastically temperate and beautiful land (libs or no libs!) They’re lucky they’ve got YOU :-)

Thank you Z. It is a wonderful country, mind you we’ve been getting some bad weather lately, but apparently it happens every couple of years or decades.

    Happy Australia Day!!

I just wish that they would stop with all the hoopla every time our guys do stuff like this. As nice as it is to hear about it, we don’t really need to have any details. When they tell us, they tell the bad guys too.

It’s a good point Joe, keep the details really light but i think we should know about these. The scumbags need to know as well, that way they’ll know if they start messing with the USA, there may come a night when the last sound they hear is a few spits in the dark bringing them a final darkness.

You don’t feel guilty celebrating the horrible British imperialism that laid the foundation for Australia to become a great nation, instead of a third world hell hole?
