A fine lesson in weaseling

FOX News – Sotomayor, a federal appellate court judge, repeatedly declined to give her view on abortion, but expressed dismay that her former boss would say that he “guarantees” she’ll support abortion rights. “I know for a fact I never spoke to him about my views on abortion, frankly, on my views on any social issue,” Sotomayor said in response to a question from Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. ……The federal appellate judge also told members of the committee that she was never asked by Obama for her views on “any specific legal issue.”
And she refused to actually give an answer on her actual views on abortion. Never mind what others have said, she refused to take an actual position. And we’re supposed to believe that she’s not pro-abortion any time and for any reason. And we’re supposed to believe the pro-abortion Hussein O would have picked her not knowing her stance, that he doesn’t give a toss either way. Yeah, and the fairies are coming around for tea later.
……Coburn also pressed Sotomayor for her views on gun control, asking the judge whether a person has a fundamental right to possess firearms and a right to self-defense.
Again the latina refused to answer, she weaseled something about the law and all that. It’s not a difficult position, you’re either for gun control or you ain’t. It’s only hard to spit it out when you’re trying not to look like a biased, racist, elitist, freedom-hating, leftist sack of crap.
She also gave some weasel-words about the smack-down she got over her racist rulings against the Connecticut fire-fighters and her supremacist rantings about latino women being wiser than everyone else. Top marks for weaseling folks, top marks. And heaven help you if you’re of the wrong skin color or political persuasion and end up before this woman.

Of course Obummer never asked her for her views on abortion. He knows that she supports all abortion laws. She supports late term abortion and she is against parental notification and she is for abortion on demand. If she was against any of those, he would never have nominated her.
As for gun ownership, she is for hunting and target shooting only, even though that is NOT what the founding fathers intended. She also believes that each State can prohibit gun ownership, which would also be a violation of our constitutional rights.
Personally, I don’t really think that the majority of Americans give a damn any way, so lets face it, America is FINISHED, DONE FOR, OVER, KAPUT!

Unless one is delusional, Sotomayor is a racist, pure & simple, as are all members of the treasonous La Raza by definition- their motto is “For our race everything- for others, nothing”. This while they openly advocate a “Re-Conquista” of the SW United States.
Her record is nothing to shout about either, and frankly -if you’ve heard her speak- she’s not what you’d call a towering intellectual.
Attny Gen Eric Holder has some racial hangups and agenda too, calling his own compatriots “cowards” regarding racial issues and letting-off Black Panthers who stood in front of a polling place with nightsticks.
And Obama himself has shown us a puzzling pro-Kenyan grudge against the British and has said some pretty odd things, even regarding his own grandmother… plus he’s the one who nominated all these kooks in the first place.
Whatever happened to the idea of a colorblind society? Team Obama define their world in racial terms all the time- and unlike any white people I know. I wouldn’t want to be judged by any of them after what I’ve heard come out of their own mouths- they sound like Jesse Jackson. And somebody with such an agenda has no business whatsoever on the Supreme Court-
If Obama is going to go on with his “justice” agenda largely based upon race- the double standards need to stop… and NOW

The whole thing is a circus. It isn’t like there is much to stop her from being confirmed…so it is like a slap in the face to hear her answers.
Obama has an agenda and a power grab game he is playing. It is amazing how far “race relations” can come in the last few decades only to be completely wiped out in seven months.

Oh, Obugger asked for her views. He’d have been a fool if he didn’t. Wait…did I just say he wasn’t a fool? Damn…he’s ALWAYS a fool.
I think her answer about her views of abortion, that it’s a “settled precedent,” are enough to indicate that she is a champion of abortion and would vote accordingly in matters that come before SCOTUS to challenge abortion laws.
I also think her failure to say anything clear about what she thinks of gun control shows that she’s for it.
That said, it’s pretty typical for these judicial nominees to weasel around giving answers regarding controversial issues about which they’ll soon have to give Supreme Court opinions.
Naturally, abortion and gun control (vis a vis the question, does the 2nd Amendment apply only to the federal gov’t, and not the states?) just happen to be two of the issues awaiting her opinion when she puts on the robes and takes to the bench.

I caught just a few minutes of it because the Democrats control the entire legislative branch and the committees now, so she’s going to get confirmed no matter how screwed up she is.
She was asked by a Senator “Do I have, as an American Citizen, the right to self defense.”
She fished eyed the guy and replied “That is an abstract concept. It has no meaning to me.”

Same could be said for the western world at large Rev Gregori, unfortunately.
“Whatever happened to the idea of a colorblind society?” Indeed RR, it’s definitely not color-blind anymore, it’s back to the bad old days, racism has been given a new lease, just that it’s a different skin color that’s the target now.
True Leslie and you folks will be paying for her biased racist decisions for years to come, long after Hussein is gone.

She was being honest there Hermit, to all gun-grabbers you getting shot and killed because you’re not allowed a gun means nothing to them, you’re just a necessary sacrifice for the greater goal.
