Shame Ruddster, Shame!

LiveNews – They may have served for our country, but they won’t be getting any money out of the federal government for awards earned during the Vietnam War. 100 veterans are due gallantry awards for heroic efforts in the Battle of Long Tan in 1966, but they won’t be receiving anything unless they fork out the $12 for the honour. The government last month approved the citations for the South Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry Unit Citation with Palm awards, but stopped short of allocating any funding towards them. Veterans Affairs Minister Alan Griffin says it’s a foreign award, and the government’s not responsible for any payment.
The Rudd government has no problems handing over our money so that the Ruddster can fly around the world telling working families how terrible things are and how much worse they’re going to get. They have millions to send our Navy to look at whales and monitor the Japanese far in the southern oceans. They spent millions setting up the useless petrol watch and grocery watch. But they can’t find a lousy 12 bucks for 100 men who put their lives on the line for the country. Perhaps this is a sort of get-square because these 100 men tried to stop the communists. Either way, Shame Ruddster, Shame!

Sorry, a lot of these references are lost on me but the meaning is clear and I agree, completely disgraceful. If I’m reading this right, they couldn’t fund 1200 dollars? It costed this several fold in government costs just to make the decision.

No problem Chuck, basically they’re just useless programs that his govt. set up to look like they’re doing something, as opposed to actually accomplishing anything.
I should add, the latest news is that they’ve been shamed into doing the right thing, they will pay the $1200 now. It’s a constant thing with left-leaning parties, always having to be shamed into doing the right thing.

They’ve got to be kidding. $1200 is absolutely nothing out of the country’s budget and actually we owe these people a whole lot more than $12 lousy bucks each. Shame indeed. I’m disgusted.
