Get worried when lefties make “real progress”

Bush, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Tuesday evening that “real progress” has been achieved in the negotiations with the Palestinian Authority, and that “understandings and agreements have been reached on important matters, although not on all issues.” [snip] “There is some real progress, and some important understandings have been reached in important areas, though not in all areas,” he said.
All well and good Olmert, however there is that niggling issue of who exactly the Palestinian Authority is representing, last time I checked, them Palis had voted for Hamas not the PA, so under whose authority are they negotiating. Hamas are one of the scumbags who’re lobbing rockets every single day in the direction of Israel hoping to kill as many Jews as they can. Has any progress been made with them, will the rockets stop, are they going to hand Gilad Schalit over or does he fall into the ‘not all areas’ part of this “real progress”? See for yourself.

Gilad Schalit, abducted inside Israel on the Gaza border on June 25, 2006, be part of a truce deal.
Sounds like they’re just as mad and filled with hate as usual. In all honesty, if I were an Israeli and from the past actions of this Olmert slimeball, I’d be worried when he makes ‘progress’ with your enemies. Their idea of ‘progress’ is not exactly what most folks would call progress, just ask the Israelis still dodging Kassams every day and wondering if this will be their last bus or last cafe. When Olmert says he’s made “real progress”, you really have to wonder, what has this fellow handed over to these slimeballs?

Sell out indeed! I agree Mk. I would be very worried about so called ‘progress’.
I also worry about the US influence..I know Bush wants very much to get progress there before he leaves office and usually progress as some see it is for Israel to give more..I am very concerned about that. It belongs to Israel and is not anyone else’s to give away. Good Grief..are they going to leave them anything? How much more can Israel give?

MK, I wonder if we are ever going to see Schalit returned! The whole article on what Zahar had to say about the Schalit situation is really telling. You can feel the cold hatred in him. They’re not going to give even one inch to Israel. It occurred to me that Israel ought to just roll in and take them all out. They’re using the whole Schalit thing to effectively tie that country in knots, dangle them from a string. They basically want hundreds of their prisoners released…with no guarantee that Schalit will be set free even then. And who can trust them?

Thanks Angie, I read a news piece that Israel was scaling back their hunt for the Islamists because of Bush’s visit. I would have thought that was the best time to kick things up a notch, beat the tripe out of them to quieten things down when Bush comes not the other way round.
He will not be returned Aurora, not whilst ole-omelet [hat tip Angel] is in charge, that slimeball lets the people of Sderot hang out there to dry, he couldn’t give a rats ass about Schalit.
