Deep down, even if they've been silenced and emasculated, they are still male and that will never change. It's just the same with females. With all the bravado and carry on (just to be cool), what they really want (instinctively) is a lot different to what society tells them they want. The whole 'liberated woman' and metrosexual ballyhoo foisted upon us is superficial...which is why you still see women trying to do both (be successful and balance a home). The nesting instinct doesn't just go away...we just try to add our other obligation...to be superwoman and company CEO, to what we really want, a home, a family and a happy life (if we haven't been messed up by early childhood trauma) I don’t agree that all men are like this.
