Police spokesman Dani Poleg confirmed that the attacker was killed by an Israeli civilian who fired on him using his handgun. The incident took place at a hitchhiking post on Highway 60, between Shiloh and the Eli Junction, on Monday evening.

Thanks to Reuters - Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton would be “fully engaged and involved” in the Middle East as U.S. president and would maintain a full-time presence there to spur the peace process, the New York senator told Reuters. “I believe that it’s important for the United States to maintain an active and involved role,” she said in an interview on Sunday. “I think one of the reasons why we are seeing a very dangerous situation there now is because the Bush administration backed off from staying involved and, where they were involved, much of their advice and proposals were counterproductive.” Continue reading Details please Hillary…

They’d have my vote for this

March 31, 2008 at 9:16 am | In Bias, Britain, Conservatives, Free Markets, Media, Taxes | 3 Comments

Thanks to Daily Mail - The BBC would be forced to share the £3.2billion proceeds of the licence fee and scale back its dominant presence on the Internet under radical proposals by the Tories. The party also said commercial broadcasters which did not receive public money should no longer have to be politically impartial. That would pave the way for channels such as Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News - which has been accused of promoting a Republican point of view at the expense of neutrality in the U.S. - to come to Britain.

I’m sure the lefties will be most upset, they still can’t get over the reality that FOX News is still allowed to operate in the U.S. Good godless, what is this world coming to with all this fairness and those Conservative bastards getting a voice. And how exactly will lefties manage to survive without stealing money from taxpayers, instead having to earn it, like the rest of us! I just hope enough Britons are sick to the back teeth of their money feeding that nest of leftist vipers at the al-Beeb.

Of fools and wise men

March 31, 2008 at 12:50 am | In Australia, Australian Politics, Culture, Dhimmitude, Kevin 07 - New Leadership, Multiculturalism, Resistance to Islam, Sharia Law | 3 Comments

Thanks to Courier Mail - FEARS that Australian-born girls as young as three months are being flown to Africa to undergo barbaric circumcision operations have been reported to the Department of Child Safety. The Sunday Mail has learned that Family Planning Queensland has approached the State Government asking that a process be established to protect the children. The organisation fears that female genital mutilation is on the rise in Queensland with the increased number of African refugees arriving in the state in recent years.

Read the entire article and you won’t find a single mention of Islam or Muslims. In case anyone just came down in the last shower, it’s not Hindus or Buddhists or some other religion doing this. As a commenter to this article said [pulled now], all the countries where this is practiced and those who practice this crap are Muslim. Watch Wilder’s “highly offensive” movie and he shows a small bit about female genital mutilation (FGM) in all it’s disgusting reality. Continue reading Of fools and wise men…

Israeli air strike kills 2 militants in Gaza

March 30, 2008 at 8:34 pm | In Bias, Israel, Media, Terrorists | No Comments

That’s not the headline folks, that’s what I think it should be. Instead this is the headline - ‘Israeli air strike kills 2 in Gaza‘, just 2 killed by mean, nasty Israel and their war birds. Two men, two women, two children perhaps. Killed somewhere in Gaza, on their way to the baker perhaps. Only in the article do they say it was two militants.

Thanks to ABC News - Palestinian medics say they have recovered the bodies of two Palestinian militants killed in an Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip. The two men have been identified as fighters from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, an armed group loosely tied to the Fatah party of the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The medics say another four militants were wounded in the strike near the northern town of Jabaliya in the Hamas-ruled territory. The Israeli Army has said it carried out an air strike against a group of armed men near the border fence separating the territory from Israel.

Would it kill the ABC to say ‘Israeli air strike kills 2 militants in Gaza’? Is that so hard, to just present the news in fairness to them. I guess if they did that, it might make Israel not look like the cruel war-monger the leftie brigade insist they are. You might then have sympathy for the Jews eh, oh no, can’t have any of that. And our taxes pay for these curs.

Bush Endorsement Worth Something, Suddenly

By AR - Until just recently any acknowledgement by the US President of the Australian Prime Minister would bring with it calls of lapdog, lickspittle, sheriff’s deputy, and street parades featuring two papier mache dogs humping. But that’s all changed now. Bush Backs Rudd, trumpets the Sydney Morning Herald.

Everything between the two leaders is pallsy-wallsy. Bush thinks Rudd deserves a Man Of Steel moniker, and Rudd made Bush an honorary Queenslander. But Rudd almost went too far when he, “when he mentioned the sunshine state was bigger than the President’s beloved home of Texas.” Ho ho ho.

The press conference was described as “jovial”. Yeah, more like a joke. When Rudd says this, “We need to sign up a common script both military and civil on how we actually prosecute and succeed in this conflict. Once (we do that) … we then say to all Afghanistan partners let’s all step up to the plate to make this work across the country of Afghanistan”… and Bush in turn describes Rudd as, “a straight-shooter,” you can be sure someone is having a laugh.

By AR - Vivienne Westwood used her return to catwalk fashion after a nine year absence to parade her line of statement undies. The lingerie section is run by her son Mark Corre and he, together with human rights lawyer (need you ask?) Clive Stafford Smith, designed some protest knickers when Guantanamo Bay guards accused a terror support group… sorry, detainee support group of smuggling in clean undies to the inmates.

Says Corre, “I don’t really mind who buys them, or if we sell any at all. As a company we’ve often taken an interest in the political theatre. Whoever said you can’t mix business with politics is obviously an idiot, as the two are inextricably linked.”

He’s quick to accuse people of being idiots, certainly quicker than he is to accuse people caught fighting for Al Qaeda of being terrorists.

His market needn’t be restricted to lefties. If he wants to sell more undies, I suggest he stick a portrait of the Gitmo inmates right over the arse region and on the inside. I got a few political statements of my own I could make.

A church to avoid

March 30, 2008 at 9:11 am | In Dhimmitude, Israel, Palestine, Religion | 3 Comments

Faith News Network - Several groups within the 7.9 million member United Methodist Church are targeting Israel with divestment proposals and hostile publications.

* The United Methodist Board of Church and Society (GBCS), the church’s official Washington-based lobbying office, is urging church members and church agencies to divest from Caterpillar, Inc. Their resolution, which will go before the United Methodist General Conference in April 2008, accuses Peoria- based Caterpillar of facilitating Israel’s destruction of Palestinian property. Five regional annual conferences within United Methodism have passed similar resolutions.

* The New York-based United Methodist Women’s Division has published a children’s book containing anti-Israel themes, “From Palestine to Seattle; Becoming Neighbors and Friends.” The booklet portrays Israel as an oppressor of Palestinians while omitting nearly all mention of terrorism.

* The Washington-based Methodist Federation for Social Action (MFSA), a liberal caucus group within United Methodism, has outdone the church’s official lobby office by calling for divestment against ALL “companies supporting the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and other violations of human rights in Israel/Palestine.”

* The United Methodist Women’s Division also has released a mission study for 2007-2008 that portrays Israel as virtually the sole aggressor in the Middle East. The study is for use by nearly 700,000 United Methodist Women’s members across the nation.

IRD Director of UMAction Mark Tooley commented:

“Israel is unremittingly portrayed as the chief obstacle to Middle East peace by these radicalized United Methodist groups, and by extension, the United States is viewed as directly complicit through its support of Israel.

“Widespread parts of the United Methodist Church bureaucracy are claiming one primary solution to Middle East violence: punish Israel.

Thanks to JPost - An aide to Zimbabwean opposition leader Simba Makoni alleged ahead of Saturday’s election that the Mossad had been hired by President Robert Mugabe to ensure he won by computerized rigging of the vote. Ibbo Mandaza, a senior member of Makoni’s campaign team, told the Mail & Guardian that the voters’ roll had been manipulated to favor the ruling ZANU-PF and that the format of the voter’s roll was devised by the Mossad on instructions from the Zimbabwean government. Mandaza said that ZANU-PF asked for Mossad help because of the intelligence agency’s experience with elections in other countries. “They have expertise in vote-rigging. Also, Mossad is looking for any kind of support and alliances and therefore Zimbabwe is the obvious target,” he said.

Alcohol abuse - A step in the right direction?

March 30, 2008 at 5:23 am | In Alcohol Abuse, Public Health, Responsibility, Taxes | 3 Comments

jack_daniels.jpgSMH - A SURVEY of 1000 Australians found more than half would support a levy on alcohol sales to fund alcohol treatment and prevention services. Australian National Council on Drugs executive officer Gino Vumbaca said a small levy of five or 10cents per drink would go a long way towards financing education campaigns and treatment services.

It would be nice if only those who binge drink and abuse alcohol are targeted by charging them for the costs of their habit, but we all know that ain’t gonna to happen, we’re not big on personal responsibility here in the West. I know some folks won’t like this because those of us who drink in moderation are also caught up in this but the way I see it, it’s better than just screwing over the taxpayer, drinkers and non-drinkers alike.

The West - Fearing a repeat of violent clashes that followed the publication in 2005 of cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed in Danish newspapers, the Dutch government has distanced itself from Wilders’ film, albeit Islamic leaders there have called for calm. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon yesterday joined Muslim nations in expressing outrage over the film. UN chief Ban called Geert Wilders’ film offensive while Iran and Bangladesh warned it could have grave consequences and Pakistan protested to the Dutch ambassador.

Would they be denouncing, slithering and changing their underwear if some movie was made that’s deemed offensive to Christianity? The truth hurts eh, those sniveling sons of sniveling hyenas, what Wilders’ showed was the truth, he didn’t say that all Muslims are angling to slit throats and fly planes into buildings, but there are a significant minority who do and what’s worse, a sizable majority who take anything said about them as offensive and we should rather just shut the hell up or else. There was nothing offensive about the film, he only showed the truth and he showed where the perpetrators get their ideas from and he called for reform in Islam. Continue reading Sniveling cowards…

Democracy - Mugabe style

Security sources said Zimbabwe’s military and police forces have been placed on alert ready to act after poll results are announced. Opposition leaders yesterday said government is likely to rig the elections. They said they have unearthed overwhelming evidence of manipulation of elections. Mugabe has warned he would crush any anti-government demonstrations. State Security minister Didymus Mutasa also said government would deal with protestors. Police on Tuesday said they would ruthlessly deal with any mass action.

Founded in 1953, RCTV was forced to shut down operations last May 27, when the Venezuelan government refused to renew its broadcast license. “There is a President (Hugo Chávez) who is persistently attacking journalism and harassing and insulting the press. Journalism here is faced with serious restrictions, and when journalism is exercised under serious restrictions there is no press freedom,” he added.

Thanks to CBS News - The Marine Corps on Friday dropped charges and gave full immunity to a serviceman who was accused of involuntary manslaughter in a squad’s killing of 24 Iraqis in Haditha in 2005. The case against Lance Cpl. Stephen Tatum, 26, of Edmond, Okla., was dropped as jury selection was about to begin for his court-martial. Four enlisted Marines were initially charged with murder and four officers were charged with failing to investigate the deaths. Over time the case has shrunk, including removal of all murder charges. Tatum was the third enlisted Marine to have all charged dismissed. Only two officers remain charged.

Why terrorist scum support the Democrats

From the April 7 2008 Edition of National Review Online, The Week. Click here to subscribe folks, it’s like $2 a month, money well spent I say.

Al-Qaeda trains its terrorists to resist known interrogation tactics, so the United States has a national-security interest in keeping such tactics secret. Congressional Democrats, however, tried to make the country’s techniques quite literally an open book: They wanted to restrict interrogators to the practices approved in the Army Field Manual, a publicly available document. Fortunately, President Bush vetoed the bill. Democrats are pretending that he acted out of enthusiasm for waterboarding. But that is not the issue: While waterboarding is rough stuff, the United States has not used it in five years, and even then employed the technique on a grand total of three terrorists. Their colleagues should not know what to expect from our interrogators, even if we know all too well what to expect from the Democrats. Continue reading Why terrorist scum support the Democrats…

Thanks to Daily Mail - A Shoplifter convicted for the 175th time was spared a prison sentence after magistrates decided to give her another last chance. Joanne Jones, 31, has faced more than 200 court hearings and served 34 jail terms over the past 16 years, at a cost to the taxpayer of more than £700,000. But she walked free from the court after Canterbury magistrates decided there was a “chink of light” to suggest she could change – despite the fact that she was on bail when she committed her last offence and is still hooked on heroin.

If I were you folks over in the UK, when Nu Labour waffles about education I’d be unscrewing the cap off the salt shaker. Back in December 2007 we saw this bit of news and one should rightly conclude that the more money these parasites are given to spend, the worse the problem gets.

Thanks to Daily Mail - Britain has nosedived down the world education league despite billions of pounds of extra spending on schools, an international study revealed yesterday. The findings are the third in a week to highlight falling education standards in a country with a schools budget that has risen to more than £50billion a year.

By AR - Well, ok it’s a long way from being a major anything, but I was thrilled to read in my local free-newspaper, The Weekly Times, an editorial blasting Earth Hour for the farce it is.

“Children and their big kid parents are being tricked into taking part in the Earth Hour farce again this Saturday night.”

It’s a bit unusual for a local paper to take such an approach and risk offending readers (and losing advertisers). Normally local papers are anodyne in their opinions playing it safe and PC. I commend the editor for his fearless stance in combating the Earth Hour hoax.

Mr Khan said many of the dead were women and children and their bodies had not been recovered because the violence had yet to abate.

Give life a chance!

March 27, 2008 at 10:34 pm | In Abortion, Babies, Britain | 1 Comment

Thanks to Daily Mail - Hundreds of children are surviving after being born within the legal abortion time limit, official figures reveal. The current time limit of 24 weeks was decided by Parliament in 1990 and the upcoming Human and Fertilisation and Embryology Bill will be the first time MPs will have been given a vote on the issue since then. Prime Minister Gordon Brown has already signalled he will vote to keep the 24 week limit but opposition leader David Cameron has said he will vote for a 20 week limit. The data, for births in England and Wales, showed that eight out of the 152 children born at 22 weeks’ gestation lived for a year or more. At 23 weeks, 44 of 283 children survived while at 24 weeks, almost half - 198 of 474 - of babies survived.

So this epic battle will be to decide whether to drop the limit to 20 weeks from 24 weeks, given that around 1200 are aborted at 22 weeks and evidence shows that some can live after being born at that time, you’d think that folks wouldn’t have an issue with giving these thousand or so a chance at life. But no, this is the new-age, sophisticated world now, go figure. Continue reading Give life a chance!…

War on home schooling - A weakness you can exploit

Advocates for the families vowed to appeal the decision to the state Supreme Court. Enforcement until then appears unlikely, but if the ruling stands, home-schooling supporters say California will have the most regressive law in the nation.

We all know the elites and lefties would love to crack down on such parents, so they can get their hands on your children and indoctrinate them with their PC crap. Coulter on Hillary, B. Hussein and ‘Swiftboating’

Also, unlike Kerry, Hillary acknowledged her error, telling the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: “I was sleep-deprived, and I misspoke.” (What if she’s sleep-deprived when she gets that call on the red phone at 3 a.m., imagines a Russian nuclear attack and responds with mutual assured destruction? Oops. “It proves I’m human.”)

The reason no one claims Hillary is being “swiftboated” is that the definition of “swiftboating” is: “producing irrefutable evidence that a Democrat is lying.” And for purposes of her race against matinee idol B. Hussein Obama, Hillary has become the media’s honorary Republican.

In liberal-speak, only a Democrat can be swiftboated. Democrats are “swiftboated”; Republicans are “guilty.” So as an honorary Republican, Hillary isn’t being swiftboated; she’s just lying.

Indeed, instead of attacking the people who produced a video of Hillary’s uneventful landing in Bosnia, the mainstream media are the people who discovered that video. I’ve always wondered how a Democrat would fare being treated like a Republican by the media. Now we know.

Read the whole article to see her take on B. Hussein glossing over his 20-year relationship with his Jew-hating Rev. Wright.

Prosecutors wanted a life sentence claiming Joshua Mauldin had a history of violence and lying about being mentally ill to get out of trouble. The jury rejected Mauldin’s claims he was and convicted him of felony injury to a child.

Out here I’d fall off my chair if he had been give more than 8 or 9 years for the same crime. Life would have been good, but I’ll take 25 with both hands and ‘Thank you’ to the jury. Speaking of justice, bring out the ham sandwiches and ready the pig sty, the guests look famished and worse for wear.
