Daily Mail - Half a million fewer patients are seeing National Health Service dentists since Labour introduced a controversial new contract. It means an extra 500,000 patients have been forced to either pay for expensive private care or go without treatment and risk agonising toothache and gum disease. Ministers promised the new contract, introduced in 2006, would give more patients the chance to register with an NHS dentist and encourage preventive care. But there is mounting concern that it has led to a worse service. In 1999, then-prime minister Tony Blair pledged everybody would have easy access to an NHS dentist within two years.

When a leftie promises you X folks, it’s virtually a guarantee that that is not what will be delivered. Even here in Australia the NSW Premier Bob Carr promised to halve, I think elective surgery, waiting lists, by the time he threw in the towel, they were even longer. This is socialized medicine folks, just that it’s even worse when administered by lefties. The article didn’t mention that they had poured more money into the program, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. They would have been better off telling the people to fend for themselves and taxing them less, but then they’d have to tax them less wouldn’t they, a concept leftists have great trouble with.

NZ Herald - New Zealand’s loss of population to our trans-tasman neighbour is at its highest level since early this decade, new figures show. The net outflow of people from New Zealand intending to live permanently, or at least long term, to Australia, was last month at its highest for 6-1/2 years, Statistics New Zealand (SNZ) said. In the year to January, 28,600 more people left for Australia as permanent or long term departures (PLT) than came the other way. That compared with 21,600 in the January 2007 year and was the highest annual net outflow to Australia since the August 2001 year, when the figure was 29,100, SNZ said.

Rest assured folks, Kiwis are not leaving their homeland because things are getting so much better for them in NZ and the grass is dry and brown over here. SMH - A man wanted for the murder of his wife in New Zealand and for abandoning his three-year-old daughter ‘Pumpkin’ at a Melbourne railway station has been arrested in the United States. Xue Nai Yin, 54, was captured and tied up by members of the American-Chinese community who recognised and subdued him at an apartment building in Chamblee, a city northeast of Atlanta, Georgia, overnight (AEDT). Los Angeles detective Federico Sicard confirmed the arrest took place about 7pm AEDT. The website of the TV show America’s Most Wanted reported that a group of Chinese-Americans spotted the man and they recognised him as an accused killer after they saw his image on the program. A fight broke out and despite Xue’s claims of being a martial arts master they were able to bring him down and “hog-tie” him.

Yeah, I’ll bet the odd slap and boot to ass was also administered during the ’subduing’ and tying up of the fellow, don’t you just love it when the community deals out a bit of justice. While I’m on the subject of justice, if they really wanted justice, they’d try the fellow over there in the US and send him to the chair because we all know in New Zealand, he won’t get what he really deserves. But I know that’s not possible, he is alleged to have committed the crime in another country and all that. Would have been nice if he’d ‘accidentally’ fallen from the top of some tall building, come on, we’ve all see crouching tiger hidden dragon and he’s supposed to be some martial arts expert you know. The UK Telegraph reports on coroner Alistair Hope’s investigation into aboriginal suicide rates: “Aboriginal children in Outback Australia are so neglected by their alcoholic parents that some have suckled from dogs’ teats in a desperate search for food.”

These are the same sort of children Kevin Rudd has apologised to on our behalf… not for allowing such a situation to occur, but for actually rescuing them from their plight. Is there some nuance that I don’t get?

He is scheduled to appear at an event in London tonight organised by the Stop the War Coalition, with more events planned around the country over the coming week.

I’m surprised Britain hasn’t offered him citizenship and a fast-tracking to state benefits for him and any wives he may or may not have.

News.com.au - TWO armed robbers made the mistake of targeting a club in Sydney’s west where a group of patrons - thought to be bikers - were having a meeting. They were chased into the car park where one of the alleged offenders was restrained until police arrived. Police soon located a second man nearby. One of the alleged robbers sustained minor injuries and was under police guard today in Westmead Hospital.

Yeah, minor injuries, I’m sure in the tussle and scuffle to catch the scumbags, the odd boot firmly met some ass and/or mouth, the odd fist was driven into a mouth. The thieves got to examine the buildings architecture intimately, that sort of thing, these things happen you know, I guess if you don’t want it to happen, then don’t go around robbing folks. Just imagine all of us were allowed the means to adequately defend ours and other’s property and liberty.

JPost - An IAF air strike targeting a minivan in southern Gaza on Wednesday killed five Hamas gunmen, including a senior rocket engineer and a regional rocket squad commander, the group said. Two other gunmen were wounded, Hamas said. The attack took place as the vehicle drove on Gaza’s coastal road near Khan Yunis. Minutes after the first explosion, another missile struck a car nearby. Witnesses said the gunmen had abandoned that vehicle for the white minivan shortly before the strike. There were no casualties in the second attack.

The couple’s case comes at a time when there is a chronic shortage of foster parents, who work on a voluntary basis. Around 8,000 more are needed nationally.

It’s not like these two are running some sort of gay-bashing vigilante gang or something. It’s not like the couple said that if the child comes home and says they’re gay, they’re going whip the homosexuality out of the child or something. You see folks, you’re not allowed to even think that homosexuality is wrong, no sir. Soon these bureaucratic scum will be at your door asking you why you didn’t attend last months annual gay and lesbian street celebrations, you a homophobe or something boy? So when they have a shortage of such volunteers, who suffers the most, that’s right, the children. As far as these bureaucratic scum are concerned, the children can whistle, you see it’s more important that homosexuals are not discriminated again in thought than children are properly cared for, go figure!

Daily Mail - Children as young as five could be given compulsory sex education, it was revealed yesterday. The prospect emerged as ministers unveiled a review of Sex and Relationship Education in primary and secondary schools. A panel will examine “the right age to begin teaching what the key messages are and content that young people should receive at each key stage”. The group will make recommendations to the Government later in the year without first consulting the public. Panel members include representatives from the Family Planning Association, Brook Advisory Centres, HIV charity the Terrence Higgins Trust and the Sex Education Forum.

Yeah, we must have all missed that growing epidemic of British toddlers with HIV, a host of sexually transmitted diseases, falling pregnant and protesting and screaming because no one will tell them where babies come from. Obviously these fools think that learning to use a condom and the joys of homosexual sex are much more important for toddlers than old fashioned crap like learning to read and write, go figure.

The incident took place last week, when Jose Antonio Ortiz began arguing with his brother-in-law Sean Shurelds about Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, US website The Smoking Gun has reported. Mr Ortiz, 28 is a Clinton supporter. Mr Shurelds, 41, is an Obama man.

Yahoo!7 News - Most Australian adults would fail a test on household finances and many would only last a month on their current savings if they lost their job, a new survey shows. The Citi Fin-Q Survey, conducted by Citibank, found that only 28 per cent of people save something from each pay packet and 50 per cent save when they can, while 22 per cent rarely save anything. In some, teachers are ordered not to put plasters on cuts or grazes or apply suncream without parental consent. The paranoia over legal action also means many nursery workers will only change nappies in public areas where there are witnesses. Some even telephone parents before taking a child to the toilet and others will only perform the duty in pairs.

I was frightened, now it is to late. I died when my babies died. I want to be with my babies: they need me, no one else does.”

Perhaps she was ignorant of how the unborn are actually killed, I think it’s overwhelming when the horror of it actually dawns upon people. We should remember that after an abortion, even if the woman is emotionally and physically unscathed or remains indifferent to the whole thing, the unborn never have that luxury, they always pay the ultimate price.

In Australia, we have very strict gun control, the gun-grabbers insist that we are all safer for it. They point to the shootings in the US as proof, but they conveniently forget to mention that those shootings usually occur in stupid gun-free zones.
