Reuters - North Korea missed a year-end deadline to give a full account of its nuclear weapons under a disarmament-for-aid deal struck with regional powers and the United States. “I think we had all hoped that North Korea would meet the December 31 deadline,” said White House spokesman Scott Stanzel, just hours after midnight North Korean time (10 a.m. EST) had passed. North Korea, which tested a nuclear weapon in October 2006, gave no explanation for missing the deadline, which had been agreed in February in talks between United States, China, Japan, Russia and South Korea.

I’m no state diplomat or nuanced world leader or anything, but I have an explanation for why they chose to miss that dead line. It’s because they can. They know that there is no one who will beat them over head for missing the deadline, no one can send them to the naughty corner. Everyone likes to waffle on about the carrot and stick approach, but usually it’s always just carrots and seldom the stick.

To cut a long story short, the Neanderthals’ food source was severely disrupted, so the really stupid ones died off and the cleverer ones survived and reproduced and evolved into the human beings of today. Rosenberg said. The victim, apparently targeted only because of his skin color, survived being shot several times, Rosenberg said.

I know they’ll be the first to cry racism if they were ever the victim of actual racism. I remember watching a movie recently about gangs in Los Angeles schools, the kids were of the attitude that they were on their own and nobody cared for them and the white man was a real bastard. And a staggering 72 per cent of young people admitted to being passengers in a car while knowing the driver was drug-affected. The findings are revealed in a NSW Government-commissioned report which shows for the first time the cavalier attitude of some young motorists.

What the hell is wrong with us, for every ill, the state has to roll out some “education campaign”, every one of us will have to be subjected to ads and flyers of the dangers of drugs, we’ll all have to become aware of another bloody thing, what happened to common sense? Drug driving ads will join the ads for the dangers of drink driving, speeding, too much sun tanning, slip-slop-slap, violence against women, smoking, heart disease, water conservation, evils of plastic bags, bullying in schools, the internet, dial before you dig, eating vegetables, school zones and obesity. Apparently we’re all too stupid to think for ourselves, I’m waiting for the flyer on how to breath, I know it’s coming.

Naturally it’ll be all of us coughing up to fund this new “education campaign” to nanny the morons, I’d be perfectly happy to fund a campaign of flogging those caught drink/drug driving, I assure you, catch a few of them and flog the skin off their backs, then make em’ pay the medical bills, the crackheads will educate themselves very quickly. But I guess we don’t have the stomach for all that. There’ll be some UN human right of theirs that will be violated, no charter of responsibilities though, just rights. Besides the do-gooders won’t have anything to do and our tax dollar will have less use, can’t have any of that.

Western governments gathered recently to waffle about how we all need to increase aid to the poor, starving Palestinians. One of our own politicians was whining at us recently on talkback radio about the lack of social justice and what not over in Palestine, how the poor Palis were in such dire straits and it was our obligation to cough up a few billion dollars for peace, that’s all well and good if that scumbag was writing personal cheques but that is never the case with leftist scum. Rest assured folks, there will never, ever, in the history of mankind, be a shortage of leftist scum with numerous ideas of how to spend YOUR money. So you can rest uneasily folks, in the knowledge that these Jew-hating terrorist scum are not starving and in dire straits, if they were, they wouldn’t be smuggling potassium nitrate instead of Sugar and your tax dollar will be supporting them, whether you like it or not.

Jerusalem Post - Islamic militants said Saturday they had no link to Benazir Bhutto’s assassination, dismissing government claims that a leader of pro-Taliban forces in Pakistan orchestrated the suicide attack on the opposition leader. With Bhutto’s supporters rampaging across the country, Pakistan’s election commission called an emergency meeting Monday to discuss the impact on upcoming parliamentary elections. Nine election offices in Bhutto’s home province of Sindh in the south were burned to the ground, along with voter rolls and ballot boxes, the commission said in a statement. The violence also hampered the printing of ballot papers, training of poll workers and other pre-election logistics, the statement said.

I’m sure I read reports earlier that Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for this, looking at them again, I get the feeling the western media yearns to believe Al-Qaeda, scumbags who butcher women and little children every day, over Musharraf. Tennessean - Juroy Faber may only be 6 years old, but he proved this week he is perfectly capable of being the man of the house. Juroy lives with his grandma, Sharyn Frasier. At about 5 p.m. Wednesday Frasier, who recently had surgery, began spitting up blood, then passed out on the floor. Juroy immediately began calling the “chain of command,” an emergency telephone list implemented by his family that starts with 911, then his mother and his aunts. His mother was visiting from New York and had been shopping with her sisters. “He was calm and we were screaming,” said his aunt, Vernita Coleman.

“I said, ‘Did you call an ambulance?’ He said ‘Yes.’ He was excellent. He is our hero.” Juroy also lives with his 3-year-old brother and 1-year-old sister. “He was so brave — he took care of his little sister and carried her out the door,” Coleman said. “He kept them calm and then even opened the door for the ambulance,” said Juroy’s mother, Jessie Frasier. The paramedic asked for “the little boy who called,” and congratulated him, calling Juroy a hero, Jessie Frasier said. Juroy’s grandma remains in stable condition in the critical care unit at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital.

News.com.au - Police said the 20-year-old victim was walking home from the train station in Edens Landing at about 8.30pm (AEST) yesterday when a gang of men yelled abuse at him. The man continued home where the gang followed and taunted him before he came outside with a cricket bat and they left. Police said the group returned a short time later where they again taunted the man with one allegedly striking him in the head. The man’s father came to his aid and was knocked to the ground with the pair further assaulted before the gang ran away. The 20-year-old man was taken to the Logan Hospital and later to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening head injuries. He is currently in the intensive care unit in a stable condition.

Like the 50 year-old man assaulted and killed in western Sydney street, another two thrown to the wolves, another two who rolled the dice and didn’t get lucky. If he had taken the cricket bat to them, when those scumbags first taunted him outside his house, he’d be facing charges now. If someone insults you on the street, the reality is you gotta keep walking and suck it up, the law is too slow, too cumbersome and a waste of time. He can’t carry a gun to protect his liberty and his right to a peaceful existence, so now he’s lying in hospital fighting for his life. A father might have to bury his son because most of us hate guns and think the state can protect us. My advice, arm yourselves with more than cricket bats people, the streets are gone, one day they’ll be at your castle and you’d better be ready.

SMH - A man who was assaulted by a gang of armed youths in western Sydney on Boxing Day died in hospital yesterday afternoon, police report. The 50-year-old man was walking along Bennett Rd in St Clair, near Penrith, at around 4pm when he was approached by a group of male youths carrying a range of weapons. The man, from the neighbouring suburb of Oxley Park, was struck several in the head and body before the gang fled.

LiveNews - A Spanish tourist holidaying in Sydney has been stabbed during a street fight in Kings Cross. Police called to the Shangri-La hotel this morning found three Spanish tourists badly injured. One had been stabbed in the stomach, another had a broken jaw - they’ve told police they were involved in a fight outside the Showgirls nightclub in Kings Cross around 3:30am. A verbal argument between them and a group of Middle Eastern males escalated - it was only once they’d arrived back at the hotel in a taxi that they realised the extent of their injuries.
The West - A man was stabbed to death at Wellington Street Bus station late last night. Emergency services were alerted to the incident around 10.30pm but the man had died before St Johns Ambulance paramedics arrived at the scene.

SMH - The national holiday road toll has risen to 26 with each state and territory contributing to the grim count. Victoria’s holiday toll is now eight. Queensland’s holiday road toll now stands at three. Tasmania recorded its first holiday road death today with a 58-year-old man killed when his car hit a tree at Devonport. The WA holiday road toll stands at five. There have been two road deaths in South Australia and one each in the Northern Territory and the ACT.

MK - The road toll in NSW is five. If I’m not mistaken Victoria has the harshest enforcement of speed regulations. The last time I was there, their maximum speed limits are 100km/h and are strictly enforced. From memory of previous years the Christmas road toll in Victoria is usually higher than that of any other state in Australia, perhaps there’s a message in this, regarding road rules and their level of enforcement.

SMH - Anti-whaling protesters have vandalised the Japanese Consulate in Melbourne with fake blood. The West - Yalgoo farmer William John Rowe, 49, suffered a serious head injury when he was allegedly struck with a cricket bat during an altercation with another group of people at Sunset Beach in Geraldton. It is understood Mr Rowe was playing cricket with his family about 8pm yesterday when an altercation erupted with a group of up to 25 Aboriginal people.

His 29-year-old future son-in-law was first slashed in the face with a broken bottle, then had his jaw and collarbone broken. As family members attempted to convey the injured man to hospital, it is understood Mr Rowe was hit over the head with a cricket bat.
