Shock/Horror - Politician Pork Barrelling
November 17, 2007 at 5:55 am | In 2007 Federal Election, Politics |Good grief, can you believe it? Somebody give me a hand, I’m weak from the shock of it, I need to steady myself for a moment!! This is just appalling folks, a politician spending public money on the public!! Bring back capital punishment in Australia folks, forget courts and all that, just take this fellow out the back and shoot him.
LiveNews - The Deputy Prime Minister is under fire for handing out almost a million dollars in community grants to projects in his own electorate. Mark Vaile’s accused of bypassing the screening process for the regional projects to fast track approval for the projects. Shadow Regional Development Minister Simon Crean says it’s nothing short of corrupt. “You can’t do it that way, it’s public money. This is not national party money, not the Liberal party’s money, it’s public money.”
Right on Simo, I mean Labor would never do such a thing, pork barrel, how dare you even think it, that bastard Vaile trying to help his community with public money, he should have pork barreled in Cambodia instead. You know Simo is speaking the truth when it comes to Labor and leftists, they’ll tax you just as much as the Conservatives and then more, but the important difference is that they’ll never give it back to you.

MK, the whole pork barreling thing is a huge storm in a teacup whipped up to bring down the Howard government. Andrew Bolt has an excellent post which actually compares figures and there is barely a whisker of a difference between what either party is going to spend if they get into power. Another manipulation of the left.

They’ll say anything, do anything to get into power Aurora, but once they’re in, we know leftists will be the biggest pork barrellers of them all, since it’s the taxpayers money, who cares.
