Pro-Life Club Banned
September 30, 2007 at 8:16 am | In Abortion, Education, Leftists | 1 CommentYou’d think that the girl was applying to start a heroin injecting room or something, perhaps a brothel or a porn shop, the way they’re carrying on over it. You can bet your backside if it had been a pro-abortion group, they’d have found a way to accommodate!!
A Stafford County high school student is suing the county’s school system for refusing to let her start an anti-abortion club. The conservative Alliance Defense Fund is representing the student, who is not named in the lawsuit because she’s a minor claiming her constitutional rights were violated. Alliance Defense Fund lawyer David Cortman says the school should immediately permit the formation of the “pro-life club.”
Police State - Hope you’re sitting down
September 30, 2007 at 7:59 am | In Britain, Leftists, Police-State | 3 CommentsOfficials from the top of Government to lowly council officers will be given unprecedented powers to access details of every phone call in Britain under laws coming into force tomorrow. The new rules compel phone companies to retain information, however private, about all landline and mobile calls, and make them available to some 795 public bodies and quangos. The move, enacted by the personal decree of Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, will give police and security services a right they have long demanded: to delve at will into the phone records of British citizens and businesses.

September 29, 2007 at 2:33 pm | In Fools, Israel, Leftists | 3 CommentsThe proposed UK academic boycott of Israel was rejected Friday when the University and College Union (UCU) announced that, after seeking legal advice, a boycott would be unlawful and could not be implemented. “The legal advice makes it clear that making a call to boycott Israeli institutions would run a serious risk of infringing discrimination legislation,” the UCU said in a statement. UCU general secretary, Sally Hunt, said: “Since congress our first priority has always been to keep the union, and its members, safe during what has been a very difficult time. JPost.
I’m sure leftists are now regretting pushing their anti-discrimination legislation, you can bet your ass, Jews were the last group of people on their minds when they were thinking about anti-discrimination legislation. Have a lemon leftists, you have failed, again!!

September 29, 2007 at 1:45 pm | In Fools, Leftists | No CommentsHere is a morning update that we did recently, talking about fake soldiers. This is a story of who the left props up as heroes. And they have their celebrities. One of them was Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth. Now — and he was a corporal. I say in quotes. Twenty-three years old. What made Jesse Macbeth a hero to the anti-war crowd wasn’t his Purple Heart, it wasn’t his being affiliated with posttraumatic stress disorder from tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. No. What made Jesse Macbeth, Army Ranger, a hero to the left was his courage, in their view, off the battlefield, without regard to consequences, he told the world the abuses he had witnessed in Iraq.
Mass murder in Kabul
September 29, 2007 at 10:08 am | In Afghanistan, Soldiers, Terrorists | 3 CommentsA suicide bomber wearing an army uniform blew up a bus carrying Afghan soldiers in Kabul today, killing at least 27 military personnel and wounding many others, the defence ministry said. Witnesses said several passers-by were also believed to have been killed in the blast near the city centre but authorities could not immediately provide a figure. The insurgent Taliban movement claimed responsibility for the attack, the deadliest in the city since a similar explosion on a police bus in June killed about 35 people.

September 29, 2007 at 9:55 am | In Islam, Leftists, Socialism, South America | 5 CommentsVenezuelan and Iranian presidents Hugo Chávez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ratified their “anti-imperialist” stance and assured a “new time of justice” for the oppressed peoples around the world is starting. “All Venezuelans feel highly proud of being Iran’s brothers, friends; and of walking together through the path of revolution, the path to the people’s dignity and sovereignty. The path of the fight against imperialism!” said Chávez when welcoming his Iranian counterpart.

We should be on their side
September 29, 2007 at 9:42 am | In Justice, Service, Soldiers | 1 CommentWithout them, we can write up pages and pages of laws, but they won’t be worth the paper they’re printed on if there is no one to enforce them. If you go to any courtroom and start mouthing off at the judge, when he slams that gavel down and threatens to throw your ass into a cell if you don’t pipe down, you do so, not because you’re scared of the judge but because those officers standing there in uniform will enforce the Judge’s orders. Our professions are guaranteed by soldiers, we ask them to put their lives on the line so that we can be free, so we can live in peace under the rule of law, yet it seems too much for us to help them out in their time of need. It seems too hard for us to draft laws that help them, not hinder them, after all aren’t they just trying to do what we ask them to.
U.S. authorities racing to find three kidnapped American soldiers in Iraq last May labored for nearly 10 hours to get legal authority for wiretaps to help in the hunt, an intelligence official told Congress on Thursday. The top U.S. spy agency, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, sent Congress a timeline detailing the wiretap effort as the Bush administration makes its case to wary Democrats for a permanent expansion of its authority to eavesdrop on the foreign communications of terrorism suspects.

September 29, 2007 at 2:01 am | In America, Extortion, North Korea | 2 CommentsUS President George W. Bush on Friday authorized $25 million in energy aid for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) as a reward for Pyongyang’s movement toward dismantling its nuclear weapons program. China Daily.
What a world this is, get yourself some nukes, rattle the saber a bit, then tell everyone, yeah we’ll think about dismantling them if you cough up $25 extra,extra-large. So what happens if they decide on a ‘new direction’ in two months or two years, can we expect the $25 extra,extra-large plus interest to be returned, didn’t think so!!
As I suspected, UN - Weak & Cowardly
September 28, 2007 at 11:28 pm | In Iran, Nuclear, UN | No CommentsWhen I heard Ahmadinejad tell the world, that the nuclear issue was now ‘closed’, I didn’t bother posting on it or saying anything, because what’s the point, we are weak and won’t do anything. What he said was as bad as saying “GET STUFFED” to the whole world and I knew we’d let him get away with it, so why bother making a fool of ourselves.
September 26, 2007 - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad yesterday denounced the U.N. Security Council as tarnished and undermined by U.S. and Western interference, and declared that “the nuclear issue is now closed” in his second major New York speech this week. Washington Times.

September 28, 2007 at 11:13 pm | In Iraq, Justice, Soldiers, Terrorists | No CommentsJust the other day we heard that the Israeli Defence force caught up the last Palestinian involved in the lynching of two reservists in Ramallah seven years ago, hopefully they have him locked away in a cell with an incontinent pig. Well, it’s good to hear the US Army has also been given the opportunity to avenge their fallen. So long scumbag, sucked to be you in those last few moments.
US-led forces have killed one of the most important leaders of al-Qaida in Iraq, a Tunisian believed to be connected to the kidnapping and killings last summer of American soldiers, a top commander said Friday. “Abu Usama al-Tunisi was one of the most senior leaders … the emir of foreign terrorists in Iraq and part of the inner leadership circle,” Anderson said. “He operated in Yusufiyah, southwest of Baghdad, since the Second Battle of Fallujah in November ‘04 and became the overall emir of Yusufiyah in the summer of ‘06,” Anderson said.

He was summoned to his local police station after the school-room incident and not released on bail until four hours later. He had to appear in court twice and he and his family endured an anxious four-month wait before the Crown Prosecution Service finally dropped the case yesterday.

September 28, 2007 at 6:03 am | In Children, Homosexuals, Politics | 4 CommentsA fairy tale about two princes falling in love sparked a backlash — and a lawsuit — against a teacher and a school last year when it was read to a second-grade class in Massachusetts. But the three frontrunners in the Democratic presidential race suggested Wednesday night at their debate in New Hampshire that they’d support reading the controversial book to children as part of a school curriculum. September 28, 2007 at 5:39 am | In Israel, Justice, Middle East, Terrorists | 1 CommentThe IDF settled an old score on Wednesday when troops from the Paratroopers Brigade’s Reconnaissance Battalion apprehended the last Palestinian involved in the lynching of two reservists in Ramallah seven years ago in Nablus. Haiman Zaban, a 36-year-old Tanzim terrorist, was a participant in the lynching and murder of Sgt.-Maj. (res.) Vadim Novesche and Sgt.-Maj. (res.) Yosef Avrahami on October 12, 2000, at the beginning of the second intifada. Zaban has been transferred to the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) for interrogation. The reservists were lynched by a Palestinian mob after they accidentally drove into Ramallah. They were beaten by the mob, dragged down a street and eventually thrown out the window of the Palestinian police station. JPost.
They are such fools
September 28, 2007 at 5:24 am | In Christianity, Fools, Religion | 4 CommentsWhen you turn to God and accept him, you’re not doing it for riches or soft skin or because it’s in fashion. You believe in him and you accept his rule and his word and live the way he wants to please him, so that when you die he might have mercy upon you and accept you into his kingdom. My understanding, limited it may be, is that God’s kingdom is not a democracy, you don’t get to vote on whether you like his rule every four years or something. He ain’t big on freedom either, at least in the way that we perceive it, you can’t say anything you feel like and do whatever you want and if you don’t like it, there’s the door.
About 50 Boulder High School students walked out of class Thursday to protest the daily reading of the Pledge of Allegiance and recited their own version, omitting “one nation, under God.” The students say the phrase violates the constitutional separation of church and state. The protesting students, members of the Student Worker Club, want administrators to hold the pledge reading in the auditorium during each of the school’s two lunch periods for any students who want to participate.

September 28, 2007 at 4:17 am | In Crime, Justice | 2 CommentsA few days ago I posted about the weak sentences handed down to 4 scumbags who killed a Sydney publican, Shane Miles, a few years ago, well here’s something to really make the blood boil. At the time most of us were furious at the weak sentence handed down, if anything there was at least some hope that the sentences would be increased on appeal, well guess what.
Prosecutors have ruled out any appeal against the sentences handed down to the men who killed a Sydney bar owner. Despite opposition from the victim’s family, they were allowed to plead guilty to Manslaughter — and will spend no more than five years in jail. Shane Miles’s sister Erin Peterson has told 2GB’s Chris Smith a solicitor has called to tell them of the decision. “Now I’m really disgusted that I didn’t get a phone call from Nicholas Cowdry or from Patrick Barrett, who was the Crown prosecutor in our case,” she said. Woohoo - Diggers kick Taliban backside
September 27, 2007 at 2:06 pm | In Afghanistan, Diggers, Service, Soldiers | 2 CommentsAUSTRALIAN soldiers in Afghanistan have seen their heaviest fighting yet, holding off an attack from about 50 Taliban extremists. The four-hour firefight happened about eight kilometres north of Tarin Kowt in the Oruzgan province some time in the past week, defence said. From the cover of an orchard, the Taliban fighters fired rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons at Australian soldiers helping to construct an Afghan police outpost. Defence said the Taliban suffered heavy casualties in the attack, but would not release details.

September 27, 2007 at 1:03 pm | In Iraq, Leftists, Soldiers | 1 CommentMore than 19,000 militants have been killed in fighting with coalition forces since the insurgency began more than four years ago, according to military statistics released for the first time. The statistics show that 4,882 militants were killed in clashes with coalition forces this year, a 25% increase over all of last year. The increase in enemy deaths this year reflects more aggressive tactics adopted by American forces and an additional 30,000 U.S. troops ordered by the White House this year. USA Today. Via Sweetness & Light.
Now you know why the Democrats and their mad nutbase were so desperate to trash General Petraeus and screw over the troops while they have the enemy by the throat, the one in Iraq that is.

September 27, 2007 at 9:20 am | In Leftists, Public Health, Socialism | 2 CommentsAs a follow up to my post the other day Take note America, I heard a caller to talk-back radio this morning, he was taking the Nurses to task over this. His point was that the nurses association and their members should not be blaming the government for the fiasco that happened this week at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital, he had a very valid point, read on.
Wards at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital are illegally understaffed, says NSW’s peak nursing body. The NSW Nurses’ Association blamed inadequate staffing levels and a lack of resources for Tuesday’s miscarriage by a woman in a toilet at the hospital’s emergency department. “At North Shore Hospital we’ve got some shifts on the wards there run without registered nurses, now that’s illegal,” association assistant general secretary Judith Kiejda told ABC Radio today. “There are not enough nursing resources and the nurses that are there are at the end of their tether and they’re walking away.” SMH.

September 26, 2007 at 10:02 am | In Britain, Politics, Socialism | 2 CommentsOfficial figures revealed the Treasury needs the equivalent of an extra £400 a year in tax from every household in Britain to ease spiralling Government borrowing. And a Treasury minister at Labour’s Bournemouth conference let slip the growing desire within her party to squeeze the higher-rate taxpayers. Exchequer Secretary Angela Eagle told a conference fringe meeting that Labour should seriously address the “challenge” of raising taxes for above-average earners. “I for one hope we’re going to do a bit of talking about that,” she said, raising fears that Labour is poised to return to the swingeing tax regime of the party’s socialist past.
